Job Description

  • £50,000 - £52,000 + car/allowance
  • Hybrid working – Newcastle base

We are currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager to manage a multi-site contract covering sites in the North East. Working for the M+E division of a well known FM company, this role manages engineering services to commercial clients including Gas, A/C and Electrics. You will manage a team of M+E engineers across the sites who are responsible for the day-to-day ppm and reactive maintenance of the building facilities. P+L is circa £1m for your mixed commercial portfolio

The role is a mix of working from home, the Newcastle office and visiting several other sites as required around the north.

Duties of the role include:

  • Managing all hard services provisions across several sites, managing a team of engineers.
  • Work with the mobile teams in planning, implementing and monitoring all PPM and Reactive works.
  • Staff training, development and reviews.
  • To manage the client service delivery and contract KPI's over a number of locations
  • To be accountable for the financial performance of the contract
  • To develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with the client
  • Manage all SHEQ requirements across the sites and conduct risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • To manage all technical compliance across the contract.
  • To work with the operational and support teams to ensure all completion times for planned, corrective and reactive works are correctly logged and recorded within the company's asset management system.
  • To manage subcontractors and negotiate rates.
  • To drive the profitability of the contract and manage the P+L.
  • Generate sales and cost saving initiatives as appropriate.
  • To regularly meet with the client to further understand their organisation and requirements.

The Applicant:

The ideal applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • Technical background Essential in an M+E discipline
  • Experience of working in a commercial FM environment
  • Engineering management experience
  • Experience of using a CAFM system and managing KPI's
  • P&O / Financial experience
