I am currently working alongside a large, registered charity on their search for a Fire Alarm Engineer to cover one of 207 sites on a daily basis to provide maintenance support as part of a growing team.

The roles responsibilities include:
- To carry out routine planned and /or preventative servicing of Fire Detection & Alarm System,
- To attend reactive call outs and repairs to Fire Detection & Alarm System,
- To carry out small installation works of Fire Detection & Alarm System,
- To carry out servicing and small works to Emergency Lighting Systems.
- To carry out servicing of Fire Extinguishers.
- To carry out Fire Door Inspections.
- To advise sites on actions identified on their Fire Risk Assessment.
- To work to safe health and safety practices at all times.
- To complete Fire Systems Engineer work reports, certificates, compliance checks as appropriate.
- To provide accurate job reports and support information.
- To maintain a strong understanding of relevant British Standards and best practices.
- Actively support the expanding application of new technology to improving service delivery.
The successful candidate will have:
- Have at least 3 consecutive years' experience as a Fire Systems Engineer, (installation, servicing and small works).
- Understand and be knowledgeable on BS5839, BS5266.
- Understand and be knowledgeable on L1, L2, L3 & L4 fire detection requirements and how to apply them.
- Professional membership (CIBSE, IET, IMechE or BAFE accredited)
- In-depth knowledge of Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and Fire Safety Act 2021.
