Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Salary: 38,500 - 42,000 + Industry specific courses such as industrial boiler training.
Shift Pattern: 3-shift rotation, including days and nights.
Location: Birmingham.
Our client operates in a fast-paced FMCG environment and is a highly reputable and stable business with a state-of-the-art facility in Birmingham, capable of delivering over 1 million units per week. They are currently seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team and help maintain their cutting-edge equipment and technology.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our client's facility remains at the forefront of the industry. You will work alongside a team of talented engineers and technicians who are passionate about what they do and committed to delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities for a Maintenance Engineer:

- Carry out preventative maintenance on high-tech machinery and equipment, including steam boilers, various automated textile machines and packaging machinery. Furthermore, there will be other industrial equipment that utilize pneumatics and 3 phase machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex machinery and equipment breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner, using engineer drawings.
- Carry out machinery upgrades, installations, and modifications using the latest technologies and techniques.
- Respond to maintenance requests from other departments and ensure that all issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment performance and reduce waste, using the latest analytical tools and software.
Requirements for a Maintenance Engineer:
- Engineering qualification level 3 or above.
- Demonstrated experience in a Maintenance Engineer role.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
