Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical)

Location: Kidderminster

Salary: £40,000 - £43,000 + 33 days holidays + excellent overtime scheme + OEM training. On target earnings: £45,000+

Shifts Available: Double Days Monday – Friday

Are you a mechanically or electrically biased Maintenance Engineer looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Look no further as our client, a large global business based in Kidderminster, is urgently seeking two Maintenance Engineers to join their team. With positions available for both mechanical and electrical engineers, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-known and large manufacturing group at a time of significant growth.

Overview of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Role:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out reactive maintenance on all production equipment and machines across the production facility. The role will be 70% reactive and 30% PPM driven. You will be encouraged to have a direct input into the continuous improvement culture and have individual project ownership as you grow your career within the company.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Work on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Replace components like for like on large heavy industrial equipment.
  • Fault find mechanically on all factory equipment.
  • Read equipment drawings.
  • Follow weekly and monthly PPM plans when required.
  • Fault find electrically and mechanically on various types of equipment on site.
  • Gain exposure to various machinery.
  • Fault find to Input and output level on PLCs.

A successful Maintenance Engineer Application:

  • Apprenticeship and relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Previous experience of working in an engineering background.
  • Experience of problem-solving on maintenance, i.e., breakdowns.
