Job Description

Maintenance Engineer, based in Northampton, working a double day’s rotation with flexibility for 9-5, Paying £38-40K + Great Pension

The Company

We are excited to be working with our client who are a world leading automotive supplier in providing assistance in their search for a maintenance engineer to join their well-established site based in Northampton.

Our client is part of a larger global group which operates globally and in doing so has created a revenue north of £10 Billion. This has allowed the company to continue to reinvest in the site as well as the engineers with exposure to newer technology, as well as a high-level training budget, upskilling the engineers in the process. Therefore, our client is at the forefront of new technology within manufacturing, giving maintenance engineer’s the opportunity to work on the machinery of tomorrow.

Furthermore, as our client’s process has been continually improved, they are currently running production at a rate of around just over 3000 units a day, which is set to increase with introduction of new machinery and projects. Illustrating how our client is offering progression with the opportunity to get involved in continuous improvement and projects, as well as improving your skillset as an engineer. This is a great opportunity for a maintenance engineer to join a growing and well-established company with multiple opportunities for progression and training.

The Role

As the Maintenance Engineer onsite, you will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical tasks, consisting of:

  • Carrying out planned maintenance
  • Reacting to breakdowns
  • Completing remedial repair work across a busy manufacturing site. 
  • Maintaining machinery such as pneumatic cylinders, conveyors, injection moulding machines, hydraulics and bespoke machinery specific to the site.  
  • Taking part in Continuous Improvement and Projects.

 

About you

To be considered for this Maintenance Engineering opportunity, you will have:

  • Level 3 Engineering Qualification.
  • Experience working within engineering.
  • Experience Fault finding and working on 3 phase systems.
