Project Manager
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join a reputable tier 1 main contractor working on a significant project within the Thames Water framework. This is a contract position with the potential for a long-term engagement based on project requirements.
Position: Project Manager
Contract Type: Contract (Outside IR35)
Rate: 500 per day
Duration: 6 month rolling contract, 18-24 month expected duration
Location: Harlow site based role covering up to 3 sites
Start Date: Immediate
Project Manager Responsibilities:
Oversee the successful execution and delivery of the assigned project within the Thames Water framework.
Coordinate and manage all project activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Lead and direct a team of professionals, including engineers, subcontractors, and support staff, to achieve project objectives.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including Thames Water representatives, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a strong safety culture on-site.
Prepare regular progress reports, including financial summaries, and provide updates to senior management and clients as required.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
Requirements:
Background in civil engineering or mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering is essential.
Proven track record of successfully managing projects of similar scale and complexity.
Familiarity with the Thames Water framework or similar water infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent organizational abilities, capable of multitasking and prioritizing workload effectively.
Sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the construction industry.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Valid driving license and willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
