Quality Engineer - Blackburn/Darwen

6 month contract

40 p/h (LTD/Umbrella) Role is outside of IR35

Or 30 p/h (PAYE) plus holiday pay

Key skills required for this position:

Responsible for Quality Assurance throughout the Manufacturing Plants, Production control, Incoming Inspections, In process Quality Control

Will be responsible for Inhouse Quality Management, Customer Relationship Management, Root Cause Analysis, Cost Reduction Activities, Daily Work Management Systems

Problem solving techniques 8D, 7QC tools, CAPA, QC Circle, 5W1H, 5 Why analysis and implementation knowledge in core tools - APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC. Must be able to use these to resolve issues.

Responsible for applying 5S, Kaizen, TPS, Kanban, Six Sigma, Poka Yoke and 4M analysis in manufacturing.

Leadership skills and Lean Manufacturing process control

Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint presentations (including Pareto Charts)

Effective verbal & written communication skills, coupled with exceptional presentation skills and ability to perform above expectations as well as an immaculate understanding of business needs.

Fully Responsible for Internal Audits - Compliance yearly and management of Audits

Responsible for overall Plant Quality Assurance, and Process Control

Key role involvement in Technical Feasibility Check related to KPI target setting for the QA department & monitoring through daily review meetings, preparing procedures, WIS, and records.

Focusing on the shop floor to review 4M changes and floor discipline on daily basis for the defect-free product.

Assisting the Group Supplier Quality Department to Develop suppliers for zero-defect delivery and continual improvement.
