The Company

This highly experienced and established and Principal Contractor within the Rail Sector, is seeking an experience Health and Safety Manager to join their Rail team for a prestigious project in the Kent region!

The Role

Being the Senior Manager for the Health & Safety of one of the largest projects this Contractor has ever undertaken in the Southern Region. You will be the person everyone will go to for advice and guidance concerning all H&S aspects for the project, while also working closely with Network Rail to ensure the organisation also adheres to their HSQE policies, standards, procedures, and licenses.

You will contribute to the development and implementation of the Management Systems for the new project, and be key in maintaining the standards across the project. You will be responsible for investigating incidents onsite. You will also have the opportunity to provide your Health and Safety expertise when tendering for further works in the future.

The Requirements

As well as being self-motivated with a pro-active approach and have experience of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines within the Rail sector, it is also required that you have the following;

  • Hold a diploma/degree in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
  • Hold Chartership status to IOSH (CMIOSH)
  • Have working knowledge of both rail and civil engineering interfaces and practices.
  • Previous experience of working in the construction/rail industry are an essential requirement along with the possession of a PTS and CSCS Card.

Renumeration

Salary up to 65k + Company Vehicle, or a 6k car allowance, 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, Company Pension Scheme, Life assurance, Healthcare for family
