Purpose of the Role:

As a Business Development Director, you will need to cultivate and secure new business prospects, ensuring they meet customer needs while upholding our quality standards, all within designated market segments. The Business Development Director will provide functional assistance to assigned Business Development Managers and oversee the management, training, and growth of any Sales Executives within their supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and close sales opportunities to exceed agreed targets within designated market segments.
  • Develop long-term customer relationships, maintaining excellent after-sales support.
  • Identify and build an active pipeline for your team, exploring both existing and new market opportunities.
  • Provide functional support and create development plans for Business Development Managers and Sales Executives.
  • Utilize innovative approaches to develop profitable business sources.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality in all sales reporting.
  • Develop and deliver exceptional sales and tender documents and presentations.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking, and maintaining professionalism.
  • Stay updated with industry developments, competitor activities, and market trends.
  • Communicate activities and opportunities effectively with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain contract documentation and support tenders and re-bids for the business.
  • Actively participate in divisional meetings and leadership programs.

Experience:

  • Minimum five years of proven sales/business development experience within Facilities Management sector
  • Extensive knowledge within soft services
  • Experience in creating high-quality sales documents and delivering presentations.
  • Ability to interact with diverse stakeholders effectively.

Education:

  • Good basic education; higher qualifications advantageous.
