We are currently looking for an FM Manager to oversee 4 schools in the Liverpool area. Based between the schools and the Speke office, you will manage 4 direct reports – one site supervisor per school, who in turn will deliver a high-level FM service to the client across the school. Working closely with the head teachers to make sure they are happy with the service, you will manage the buildings making sure all maintenance is complete using both in-house staff and external contractors. Managing service delivery, you will ensure work is completed in a timely manner in line with the contract scope, and to a high-standard.

Duties of the role include:

  • Monthly site audits alongside the technical manager.
  • Site inspections and walk rounds.
  • Staff 121’s.
  • Staff culture and motivation – ensuring all supervisors and caretakers are engaged in service delivery for the client and have the most up to date training and career progression opportunities.
  • Managing external subcontractors for competitive price, attendance of work and quality of work.
  • Replacing any external subcontractors who are not adhering to contract performance or meeting the standard.
  • Responsible for all health, safety and compliance paperwork for the schools in relation to FM works.
  • Working closely with the head teachers and teachers to build strong working relationships.
  • Managing KPI’s and WIP to ensure work is delivered on time.
  • Managing SLA’s on the contract to make sure that penalties on the contract are minimized.
  • Looking for opportunities on the contract for additional works to maximize profits.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience delivering FM in a school environment.
  • Experience of working on PFI contracts would be very advantageous.
  • Good people manager – great motivation skills.
  • Advanced customer relationship building skills.
  • Robust character due to the challenging nature of the school environment.
